Student Contributions Advance Botanical Safety Consortium Research

The Botanical Safety Consortium recognizes the contributions of Ms. Amani Abu Qanan and Mr. Jamie Lindsay, two students who supported the consortium while completing their MS degrees in Toxicology at the University of Birmingham under the guidance of Dr. Scott Glabermann.

Amani led a literature review focused on potential botanical drug interactions for patients undergoing cancer treatment attempting to alleviate symptoms such as nausea and depression. Jamie collected literature related to botanical-induced respiratory sensitization, which will aid in the understanding of in vitro assay results.

Their contributions directly catalyzed work in the consortium and we thank them!
